Great emotional piece, Sen. Very gentle and heart warming. A bit surprising , and even more enjoyable because of it, coming from the action-loving, battle-writing lunk that we know and love. Loved it.

Hey, I have a sensitive side. Wink

Glad you liked it. It always seemed to me that Cassie's feelings for Cain ran deeper than she ever expressed. Look how she ran to see him when the Pegasus turned up. Obviously, more than a "leave the money on the dresser as you go out" kind of relationship. The idea of Cassie going a tad nuts after Cain was lost seemed plausible, and so the rest followed.
The series is full of these spots that needed filling out.

Yes, very true. I wonder though, having always thought that SB would win out over Cain if it came down to Cassie making a choice between them, if this would give Cain the edge due to this unexpected bond ...or just the opposite. Perhaps in Cain she would see their unborn child and experience the guilt over and over.

It only counts as poetry,
If the interpretation is left quite free.

Tee hee hee hee hee!
