Yes, then she would just have to tell Apollo that they will all be going to live on the Pegasus with Dear old Dad! Laughing

Well, I'm glad we got that sorted out. Confused For a moment there I thought you figured it would be Sheba's duty to stay on the Galactica with Apollo should they be sealed and Cain came back into the picture.

Had to go back and read it over to find out what the heck we were going on about.

Let's reintroduce it more seriously. Keep your pocket door shut, Sen. Wink If Sheba and Apollo were in a serious relationship (not talking sealed here, but passionate) and Cain and the Pegasus returned, would Sheba rejoin her father leaving Apollo behind, or would she elect to stay on the Galactica? And what if the Pegasus was planning to take off again, since I don't see Cain staying subordinate to Adama for long. I suppose this could be under the Sheba and Apollo thread too, but what the heck.

She's mature enough that she would stay with Apollo. She might not like Dear Old Dada taking off again, but at least he wasn't disappearing in a flash of exploding BaseShips this time.

Agreed. I think all the stuff I hear that takes it for granted that Sheba would go back to the Pegasus *really* sells her short in terms of her appreciation for what she's experiencing or will have experienced after so much time on the Galactica, especially if she becomes involved with Apollo. People keep overassuming that she's a clone of Cain in all respects, and that's just not so IMO.

So you both think that her commitment to a blooming relationship with Apollo and her new life on the Galactica would overcome any allegiance or devotion to her father--her only family-- and her old friends on the Pegasus?

Time creates new friends, new opportunities and a new life for Sheba. And she would also wonder if instinctively running back to be with Daddy might in fact represent a sign of dependency that wouldn't be in keeping with making her own statement as a warrior.

Sounds just too straight forward to be true. I'd imagine she'd be quite torn between these two choices. Pages and pages of angst to be written on this decision alone. And Sheba is also a career minded woman. At least on the Pegasus, she'd be more likely to be promoted. I don't recall them even having a Strike Captain, unless it was Bojay and nobody made note of it. More likely Cain just called the shots. And this woman who was so devastated when her mother died, and her father went to a stranger for comfort, obviously has some strong attachments to "Daddy". No, I don't think it would be such an easy call. And I could just see her suggesting to Apollo that he pack up his bags and come with her to the Pegasus. Just to make a point. Actually, I'd love to read that scene! Cool

Straightforward decisions reflect a greater sense of inner normalcy in the characters that ultimately reveals their greater realness as people to me. I prefer to let the over-angst typify the characters of that other show.
