I think Bridges and Macnee easily win the top two spots with Jane Seymour and Astaire tied for third in terms of who were the most memorable guest stars not just in name value, but in terms of who impacted the series with the fanbase in the characters they played. There were many other great guest stars with notable credits in many other projects but whose Galactica projects never reasonate quite as much just because their characters weren't as strong on Galactica. Some notable examples in that category would be:

Ray Bolger (This is one of the stars of one of the greatest movies ever after all)
Bobby Van (Very popular musical star in the 50s-60s and then a notable game show personality in the 70s)
Barry Nelson (the first actor to ever play James Bond! That was in a 1954 TV adaptation of "Casino Royale" which Americanized 007)
Nehemiah Persoff (probably one of the most reliable of character actors in all of TV history; Star of the memorable "Judgment Night" episode of "Twilight Zone" that also included a young pre-Avengers Patrick Macnee)
Randolph Mantooth (six years as Johnny Gage on "Emergency")
Anne Jeffreys (co-star of "Topper", a hit series from the early years of TV in the 50s)

And of course there's also Audrey Landers... Wink

I think if anything we've let the "big" names in Galactica guest cast lore kind of overshadow the level of great guest talent that the series managed as a whole in its brief run.

I will have to admit, I LIKED Kelly Harmon, as Sarah.
Don't shoot, EP!

She was good. One of the more complex minor supporting characters that came up in BSG. I didn't particularly like "Sarah" as a character, especially after she destroyed the Vipers and tried to woo Apollo into staying to avoid Michael.

But then, when Apollo sent Cassie after Michael to get close to him, I didn't particularly like that either. Not very gentlemanly of him.

Starbuck and Cassie were a little distant in that episode too, which was a little weird.

Harmon only demonstrated in that episode WHY Tic-Tac ads had to be her chief source of income. (and that brother Mark was the more talented member of the family).

Vaughn and I actually talked about that episode in some detail. At the time we were writing a Starbuck/Sheba story we never finished. A follow up to Throw Me A Line called Hook, Line and Sinker. We figured the Starbuck/Sheba tryst would explain some of the weirdness between Starbuck and Cassie.

What would you have liked her to have done differently with Sarah, Eric?

I just think it's not a good acting performance, and it isn't helped by the fact that Hatch I think turns in one of his worst performances in the series (that moment where he chuckles after her proposition and goes, "Wait, let's try that again" or something to that effect, almost comes off like an actor asking for a retake). And I guess I also have a problem (that I wasn't even able to fully correct in my adaptation) that top of the line sensitive equipment like a Viper can be rendered unflyable just by one person with only minimum of effort (and shouldn't there be safety locks to keep the caopies closed and protected if a pilot has to go wander off?)

I recall you mentioning before that this definitely didn't rank as one of your favourite episodes.

Kelly Harmon played a very confused character. A woman escaping persecution, trying to find a better life for her children, instead finding disappointment in that her father is dead, and then feeling trapped by Michael's obvious affection for her. Maybe dear ole dad was supposed to be her buffer in that situation. She's desperate for solutions, and Apollo, the undemanding, honourable nice guy, seems the obvious solution.

I thought her portrayal was good, considering what she was supposed to pull off.

Perhaps it was undefined writing, rather than poor acting.
