I love the mood created here as Adama reflects on his self-doubt. He was such an inspiring leader, yet even the original series had him questioning his abilities in his private moments. So very human. It made him even more likeable.

Love this story, Sen. The flashbacks to Adama and Dorian are wonderful. Give the story great depth. And your original characters in Major Dorian as well as Sire Memnon are excellent. Your descriptions are very vivid as the scenes with these characters unfold, giving a real identity to both. Great job.
Oh, and that Starbuck scene in the billet. Truly great stuff! |

Thank-you. I feel that every character and action that we create for our FanFic, be it in the VS2 or otherwise, must be crafted in harmony with the "feel" of the original show. Anything less is like a washed-out color. _________________ "The dull mind rises to Truth through that which is material." -Suger

Absolutely right on that. I don't want to use this place as the one to say too critical things of Richard Hatch, but the novels with his name on them IMO really failed to measure up to that particular standard. They just did not *feel* like they were taking place in the universe I've always been familiar with and try to duplicate in any fanfic story I write.
Oh and regarding your acknowledgments in the epilogue, Sen:
========================================
With much thanks to Maggie, Eric, Lisa, and that guy from the FBI who let me steal one of their skeletons...
========================================
Glad to have helped out in crafting your engaging story, and I'll bet anything that guy from the FBI was more apt to have the name Mulder or Cooper instead of Erskine. (Little FBI on TV trivia nods there) |

Why, thank-you. Now, I'm off to get a pack of Morleys............. _________________ "The dull mind rises to Truth through that which is material." -Suger
